Shahrukh’s first pan-Indian film will hit theaters in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. That day is not far away. The audience’s wait is over on September 7.

Vijay plays the role of the villain in the film. As the makers announced the day, he said, “I met Shah Rukh at Nayantara and Bignesh Shivan’s wedding. I said to him, I would love to play the negative character opposite you, sir!”

In late 2019, it was rumored that Shah Rukh Khan would team up with Tamil film director Atlee and the project was confirmed in 2020. In May 2021, it was reported that the filming would commence soon.

A. R. Rahman was reportedly approached by director Atlee to compose for the film.Rahman subsequently declined the offer for reasons unknown, and Anirudh Ravichander was chosen to compose for the film.
Jawan is scheduled for a theatrical release on 7 September 2023 in Hindi along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu languages.
