The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has entered into a strategic partnership with Jio Institute to launch an extensive faculty development program centered around Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science. This significant collaboration aims to advance knowledge in these cutting-edge fields and promote ethical considerations regarding the immersive learning applications of AI.
Jio Institute, renowned for its expertise in AI and Data Science, will serve as the host institution for a five-day residential faculty development program under this initiative. The program is set to be inaugurated by AICTE Chairman TG Sitharam on August 21, 2023.
This innovative endeavor is designed to provide academic leaders and senior faculty members with an in-depth understanding of AI and Data Science while emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations when utilizing AI tools for educational purposes.
The program will offer intensive training to a select group of 40 AICTE members, including faculty from various institutions. Covering a wide spectrum of topics, including Data Visualization, Natural Language Processing, Time Series, and Optimization, Applications, Generative AI, and Large Language Models, the curriculum will delve into the profound impact of AI and data sciences across diverse sectors, including science, engineering, healthcare, and liberal arts.
Furthermore, the program will explore emerging opportunities within the ever-evolving technological landscape. This collaboration between AICTE and Jio Institute represents a significant step forward in enhancing the knowledge and expertise in AI and Data Science among India’s educational community.
